Who We Are
Chris McCalib
Chris is the President of TEC and has been with the company since 2015. With 20 years of wastewater operations experience, he was responsible for 2 WWTPs, as well as numerous functional groups within the PNW region. Chris is actively involved in the Northwest Biosolids Management Association Board of Directors, serving as President, and is a past Vice President for the PNCWA Puget Sound Section. A U.S. Navy veteran, Chris enjoys fishing, hunting, traveling, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and golf.
Austin McCalib
Austin joined TEC in 2021 as a Plant Salesman and Service Technician. He is currently taking wastewater courses through Cal-State, and has interned at a local wastewater treatment plan to increase his real-world knowledge and experience. Austin enjoys golfing, fishing, hunting, soccer, traveling, and spending time with friends and family.
Shannon McCalib
Shannon joined TEC in 2021 as the Office Manager and brings over 20 years of experience to her role. She enjoys traveling and spending time with her family.
Bailey McCalib
Bailey joined TEC in 2024 as an Administrative Assistant. She is currently attending community college to pursue a degree in Business Administration, and is also playing on their soccer team. At TEC, Bailey will be assisting with bids, purchase orders, quotes, accounts payable and receivable, and payroll.
Dennis Gleason
Dennis is the previous owner of TEC, and has been involved in the wastewater industry for over 50 years. He advises TEC on sales and management insights, as well as providing strategic direction for the firm. He has a degree in Civil/Sanitary Engineering from Marquette University, and outside of the office he enjoys golf, travel, and collecting wine.
Rick Zimburean
Rick has more than 40 years of experience with complex industrial equipment, from installation to full overhaul and replacement. A veteran of 21 years, Rick was a Machinist Mate and Quality Assurance Specialist on Naval Submarines. He followed this with a 20-year career in wastewater, specializing in repair and maintenance for a 30 MGD Class 4 activated sludge CSO treatment plant with 35 pump stations and a 20 MGD UV treatment facility. Rick and his team received 15 Department of Ecology awards in a 17-year span.
